Our Story

In 2017, Jeff and Josephine—along with their canine companions—set out in search of a quieter, more meaningful life beyond the city. Their journey led them to the rolling countryside of Milton, Georgia, where they discovered six wooded acres rich with towering hardwoods and natural serenity—an ideal environment for cultivating mushrooms.

At the heart of the property, they built a distinctive stone-and-glass home they named Pax Domus, Latin for “house of peace.” The name soon became a philosophy.

Blending Jeff’s agrarian roots with Josephine’s culinary passion, Pax Domus Farm was born—initially focused on harvesting exceptional edible mushrooms for the local community. Over time, curiosity expanded beyond flavor to wellness, inspired by the restorative properties of select medicinal mushrooms long revered for supporting vitality, balance, and longevity.

Today, modern science affirms what ancient cultures understood: these remarkable fungi offer meaningful benefits not only for humans, but also for the animals who share our lives. Pax Domus Farm continues to explore this intersection of tradition, science, and stewardship—growing mushrooms with intention, integrity, and care.
